JumpStart PreK-1st Grade: Frankie's Field Trip is an interactive DVD released circa 2006.

The DVD centers on Frankie taking four passengers on a bus ride to different locations, such as a post office, farm, and fire station. During the trip, viewers encounter songs and activities.

Description

The viewer must use the arrow keys and enter keys on your remote control for various interactions during the bus ride. These interactions include deciding which route to take, responding to situations that occur during the ride and completing activities at the trip destinations. When the viewer encounters a song sequence, Frankie will periodically present the viewer with questions during the song, and the viewer must select one of three answers. After visiting a location, the viewer creates a scrapbook by selecting photos according to Frankie's hints.

JumpStart Power Prep is an interactive DVD game produced by Blue Monkey Studios and released by Knowledge Adventure in 2006. It consists of a quiz-show style game hosted by Polly Sparks in which 1-4 players must answer grade-appropriate questions about Reading, Language Arts, and Math. The DVDs are designed to help students prepare for standardized tests. It also features test-taking tips and short educational videos about animals provided by Sea World.

Gameplay

The game is played with a DVD remote. At the start of the game, the user must choose the number of players. Each game consists of 4 rounds of 5 questions each. At the start of each round, the player must choose a category. Whenever the player gets a question right, Polly will congratulate them (though often in a way that focuses more on her own brilliance); whenever they get a question wrong, Polly will give them a test-taking tip. Once the player has answered the questions, they will be given a "prize" consisting of a brief educational video clip. If there is more than one player, the game will ask the player to hand the remote to the next player at the start of the next round. At the end of all the regular rounds, if a multiplayer game is being played, a bar graph (made out of tubes of liquid) displaying the number of questions each player got right will be displayed. After this, a "special round" with different rules rather than normal quiz questions will be played; for example, in one version, various pairs of words will be displayed, and the player must press the Enter button whenever two words are displayed that are homophones. If there is more than one player, each player will get the opportunity to play.
